The passage, ‘Jonathan…went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God’ (1 Samuel 23:16 NKJV), reminds those who feel lost in the woods and are afraid of taking that next crucial step that, Jonathan didn’t just go to David to encourage him to be strong because his Heavenly Father was coming to save him, he also reminded him of the need, after he might have been restored to his rightful place with God, to remember to help others. In other words, we should look for opportunities to strengthen those who have tired hands and encourage those who have weak knees.
