WE ALL HAVE A BOOK IN US: Some best sellers, some garage sale bins!
Every person has a unique story to tell. If one lives long enough the story will certainly be filled with the good, the bad, joy, sorrow, pride and regret. “No one said life would be easy” (especially now), however, there is always more light to pursue than darkness.
A fun little story I just experienced dates back to 1982. While in art college I created a Rolling Stones ink drawing (it was not a class assignment). I had already created a “Rock Stars” ink drawing that I made into a poster and “saturated” the city marketing and selling it. Inspired by this experience I did the same thing with the Rolling Stones poster.
At a business meeting on Tuesday I met a guy who purchased one of my Stones posters. Claiming they remain his favourite band he showed me a photo where the poster is proudly and prominently displayed in his home office (his favourite song is Sympathy for the Devil, mine is Gimme Shelter). I told him I could probably find the original if he would like to purchase it. 38 years after buying a poster he now owns the original.
The future doesn’t happen without decisions in the present, however, its always “a trip” looking back.
