The lead singer was one of my best friends at school. Let's just say we nearly whipped Gary Barlow in 1986's BBC's Christmas Carol Competition. I'd already been there as an 11 year old in 1981 - (Nationwide Carol Competition) for writing Follow The Star. Met Andrew Lloyd Webber who was a judge and Suzi Quatro. It's all true.
