Some things just work. And you wonder why you haven't tried them before.

Especially things that drive the cost to acquire a customer to almost zero


Do you need more leads?

Would you like to tap into your customers' network?

Do you want your leads to help generate new leads? (in their lead state or when they become your customers?)

If there was a way to get strangers who didn't know us before, to open up their network for free, would you like to know it? and exactly what we wrote that got us the 50% increase in leads.


June this year, I was at Ife Digital Center. The manager invited me to develop a market strategy to drive traffic to the center. So we started by designing what will be our lead magnet (something valuable that helps the customer to solve a narrowly defined problem but not all the problems)


We completed work on the lead magnet, it was time to get people to sign up for it.


That is what I want to show you; Exactly how we did it and got completely new leads who didn't know us before and are just hearing from us for the first time, to genuinely give us the contact addresses of their friends and family for absolutely free.

But something was going on in my mind. I couldn't help it anymore since when I started working on my newest framework (Radical Leads Generation Framework) which I will share in a future article.


How can we get these new guys to keep bringing in new leads for us and the leads they bring, bring us leads too, and on and on like that?

Coupled with the fact that we don't have the advertising budget of Coca-Cola. :)


I wanted to spend less time and money while getting as many people. My ideology around lead generation is to create a continuous cycle of lead inflow where we get to a point where we pay almost zero to acquire new customers.


We did and it worked.

Ever since then, I vowed to use it forever!


Let's get into it.

For the sake of newbies to marketing. I want to assume you don't have much experience with marketing. So I will break it down. Although I won't go into the nitty-gritty of the planning, I will explain the key strategy then reveal that “short clause” and explain how you should use it.

For the benefit of marketing newcomers, let's assume you have limited experience in this field. I'll break down the concept for you. While I won't delve into every planning detail, I'll explain the key strategy, reveal the "short clause," and show you how to use it effectively.

You only need to ask them. But how you ask them matters. In this article, I will give you a single line and also explain how you can tweak it for your own business.


We simply asked them to give us the contact details of people they think should have access to the lead magnet we were promoting, — but be careful how you make that ask. Which is what I will explain below.


The Clause

“Is there someone you know who should also benefit from this? We will mention to them that you said this should be sent to them. It shows you are thoughtful about them and are interested in their success”

That was it, and people gave actual phone contacts of their close pals, freely.


Framing it the right way

How you frame this question is important, and it must signal them as the hero, not you. it should position them as someone good to their friends. everyone wants status and a good social image. We just tapped into that.


What you need to do before using these tactics

  • Have a single clear offer
  • make sure it is clear what they are getting and what it makes them achieve

Then you can ask them who else they want that benefit to be shared with.
