We Achieve More Together

Last week I had the honour of hosting and attending a G20 YEA Bilateral between Türkiye and the UK at the Palace of Westminster in the Attlee Room.

The theme of this lunch reception was to foster relationships…connect, learn and partner between British Entrepreneurs led by the UKEA (UK Entrepreneurs Alliance) and G20 YEA UK president Tommie Edwards FRSA and Turkish entrepreneurs led by TUGIAD and G20 YEA Türkiye President Gürkan Y?ld?r?m

The most fulfilling part was seeing entrepreneurs from different cultures speaking the same language of business with the same ambitions and international outlook ?

There were great conversations had and meaningful connections made the energy was intoxicating and I was impressed by the bold, innovative and sincere Turkish entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors, finance, technology, real estate and much more. Combined with the confident, tech savvy and diligent UK Entrepreneurs who had drive and purpose. Everybody in the Attlee room shared similar passion and were global perspective.

The House of Lords and Attlee Room provided amazing history and a great backdrop to this event with its understated character and charm.

There was a portrait of Clement Attlee who was Deputy Prime Minister to Winston Churchill 1942-1945 and who was Prime Minister 1945-1951. There was also an interesting ?art exhibit or oil painting from Micheal Heseltine who was Deputy Prime Minister 1995-1997. As a second chamber The House of Lords or Upper House of Parliament does important work and scrutinises legislation and holds the government to account by reviewing and providing legislative detail.
