We are 10! | Ickle Bubba's 10th Birthday

Today marks Ickle Bubba's 10th Birthday.

So, I want to share a big Happy Birthday Ickle Bubba with you all, along with a few fun facts of where we’ve been over the last decade and where we are going...

Since the business started, we’ve employed 105 people directly, along with dozens of others through consultancy and freelance arrangements, contributing significant sums to the local economies within which we operate.

Places

The business started in a garage, before moving to an industrial unit in Cross Hands. We?then moved to Pont Henri, where we maxed out at 4 different units on the same site. During this time, we set up an office in Cheltenham, as well as an office and studio space in Leeds.

In March 2021, the business acquired our current HQ building in Swansea. This allowed all products for UK dispatch to be housed under a single roof, along with a new office space for our Customer Care, Operations and Finance teams.

Products

Since the start of the business, we have launched 6 versions of our flagship Stomp pushchair, now led with the Luxe edition. Stomp continues to offer consumers an incredible value travel system along with everything they need?to get on the move with a newborn.

We’ve also diversified both up and down the price spectrum. Within the value space, we’ve launched Zira and Comet, as well as more recently the Cosmo Travel system -?which at £399 on promotion is truly head and shoulders above the competition on price for a i-Size Travel System. We also launched?Star - a product offering exceptional value to customers at a very low everyday price.

At the more premium end of the market, we sold the Aston Rose and the Eclipse travel system continues to build in popularity.

On top of our travel system range, we have sold 6 styles of stroller, 6 different car seats, 5 different furniture ranges, 5 different interior collections and a wide selection of nursery interior accessories.

In total, this range has allowed us to help over 500,000 families who have purchased our products, providing stylish and affordable parenting solutions.

Territories

We sell our products across the UK and, in 2019, we began selling across mainland Europe, followed by market entry into Australia in 2021. Our international business now represents almost 10% of total sales.

Reputation

As a brand, we’ve grown to be the third most searched nursery brand in the UK* - a stat we should be incredibly proud of. We continue to sell our products across almost all relevant national retailers and a wide range of independent partners.

We continue to represent great value to the consumer and have gone even further with Boss Your Baby Budget, offering helpful advice to new parents as they navigate their journey during the current cost of living crisis.

The future...

Ahead of us, we will no doubt see challenges and opportunities. However, we want to continue deepening our standing in all the markets we operate as a nursery brand recognised for offering exceptional value, style and convenience. We plan to achieve this through a refreshed product range, supported by dynamic marketing and caring parental support and advice.
