At present, WDM scheme and optical fiber direct drive are the most discussed in 5G fronthaul industry. When comparing different solutions of fronthaul network, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the network construction cost and maintenance cost in the life cycle, not just the initial simple optical module cost.
Based on this, the system has the following features: wavelength adaptive, configuration free; Single fiber bidirectional, good symmetry; Low time delay and small jitter; Transparent transmission, no electrical layer processing; DWDM, wavelength wave, large capacity; and based on pilot and message channel to achieve manageable maintenance.

2 年Hi Doris, actually most WDM is not "bidirectional on one fiber", it is bidirectional on two (duplex) fibers.
