How much influence should parents exert on their kids’ careers?
According to a recent Joblist survey, almost 40% of people feel heavily pressured by their parents about their career choice.
And almost 1 in 10 Gen Zers said their parents began influencing their career choices at 5 years old or younger!?
While well-intentioned, some of that influence can backfire.

1 年Great insights packed Neil. Here in my region, most parents have already planned for their kids to became a doctor, engineer or lawyer. If a child is dedicated about his or her career, then support him or her with books, courses, internships and other opportunities. I remember Terence Tao of how his parents supported him to become a mathematician.
