The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released a new report evaluating software algorithms that estimate a person's age from photos. These algorithms could control access to age-restricted activities while protecting privacy. The report found that while no single algorithm outperformed the others, the technology is rapidly evolving. NIST plans to update its evaluation results regularly as AI advancements are expected to enhance age estimation software capabilities.

Tip of the Week

Please be careful about phishing emails that come from your cloud provider. These emails may trick you into revealing your login credentials or other sensitive information. Always verify the sender's email address and avoid clicking links or opening attachments in unsolicited emails.
