Australia Natives Find Success With RV Park in Fla.
Peter Swales grew up camping and RVing with his parents, but instead of doing it in the U.S. or Canada, he did it in southern Australia.
After spending most of his adult life working as a homebuilder in Melbourne, Pete and his wife, Julie, eventually bought an RV resort and are now helping RV enthusiasts to create their own memories, but instead of doing it in Australia, they’re doing it in the Florida Panhandle, where they own and operate?Outback Springs RV Resort in Bonifay. The 76-site park is located off Interstate 10 about 50 minutes north of Panama City.

Cavco Notes “Challenging Environment” in 1Q Report
Cavco Industries, Inc. ?(Nasdaq: CVCO) announced that net revenue was down 19% during the first fiscal quarter of 2024, which ended July 1. Cavco’s President and CEO Bill Boor noted that demand for the quarter was impacted by the effects of “diminished affordability.”
“Despite the challenging market environment, strong management across our businesses generated solid cash flow again this quarter,” he explained. “Our plants continue to demonstrate their ability to maintain margins by keeping costs as variable as possible, which is core to our operating philosophy. Our healthy financial position enables us to maintain our strategic focus throughout the cycle and we expect to emerge from this downturn stronger due to our focus on the undeniable need for affordable housing.”
Love’s Location in Colo. Set to Open Large RV Park
The long-awaited Love's Travel Stops and RV Park is slated to open in just a few weeks. The 52-acre property located at U.S. 50 and Fourmile Parkway, on the eastern edge of Ca?on City, Colo., will offer goods and services for locals, travelers, commuters, truckers and campers, according to the?Daily Record.
Love’s started adding RV parks to pre-existing locations in the last couple of years, mostly for 15 to 30 spots, but the Ca?on City location will accommodate more than 100 campsites, including some that are ADA-accessible.
