RV Ind. Ties Driving Development of Luxury RV Resort
A luxury RV resort is in the works for southern Elkhart County, just north of the county line near the popular northern Indiana lake resort community of Syracuse.
North Trace RV Resort is being developed by Steve Showalter, owner of Showalter RV in Nappanee, which in 2021 underwent a major expansion by growing its indoor showroom space and tripling its service department.
Showalter said momentum for the development is being driven by the county’s strong ties to the RV industry.
Hurricane Idalia Updates, Is Now a Category 4 Storm
Idalia strengthened into a Category 4 hurricane on Wednesday (Aug. 30) morning, before downgrading back to a Category 3 just hours before it’s set to make landfall on Florida’s west coast, according to Yahoo News.
The National Hurricane Center warned the hurricane has become “extremely dangerous” and is close to the state’s Big Bend region, which refers to where the Florida Panhandle connects to the Florida Peninsula.
