WCM’s Park Update: Rob Schutter, ‘Camp Jellystone’
Rob Schutter ,?president of Camp Jellystone - Franchisor of Jellystone Park? Camp-Resorts , joins WCM’s Park Update on Tuesday (May 2) to talk about the health of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort franchise system and its continued plans for growth.
The system is currently working on a number of new development projects, as well as focusing on introducing more single-park owners to the franchise system too. Schutter speaks on the process of transitioning to be a Jellystone, offers some insights into the health of campstore sales and merchandising, speaks about challenges the system is facing and more.
Owner Feedback is Helping TACO’s Legislative Efforts
The increased volume and frequency of electronic communications from Texas campground and RV park operators is helping the?Texas Association of Campground Owners?(TACO) to get the attention of elected representatives in the Lone Star State, according to a press release.
“As park operators become more vocal and more willing to share their comments electronically with legislators, it helps us to focus their attention on the legislation our parks need them to support,” said Brian Schaeffer , TACO’s executive and CEO.

‘Pathfinder’ Rezones B.C. Land, Debt is Refinanced
Pathfinder Ventures Inc. (TSXV: RV) ?has announced the rezoning approval of its 1.892-acre property in Agassiz, British Columbia, according to a press release.
Pathfinder purchased the property in December 2021 with plans of expansion. The property is adjacent to Pathfinder’s existing Agassiz camp resort.
OHCE to Feature Seminars, Hosted Buyer Meetings
As the NFL descends on Kansas City for its annual draft this week, being held Thursday (April 28) through Saturday, the? OHI is actively planning its annual conference, the Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE2023) in the same location. In fact, registration for the show opened earlier this week, according to a press release.
“Kansas City is a unique and exciting town, so it’s no wonder both the NFL and ARVC selected it for our premier annual events,” says Paul Bambei , president and CEO of National ARVC. “This year’s OHCE is going to be full of fun, networking and learning — everything our industry comes to OHCE for every year.”
