TACO Conf. Expecting a Record-Breaking Turnout

Nearly 100?exhibitors?have signed up to participate in the?Texas Association of Campground Owners’ annual?Spring Meeting and Tradeshow, which is on target to become the largest in TACO’s 52-year history.

The April 30-May 1 event will take place at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center in Conroe, Texas.

“We think total attendance will probably be north of 350, maybe 400. We have nearly 100 vendors,” said Brian Schaeffer , TACO’s executive director and CEO.

Several Wisconsin Parks Expanding and Improving

Wisconsin campground owners continue to build new campgrounds, add more campsites to existing ones, invest in new amenities and make other improvements, according to the?Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners?(WACO).

“Every year camping in Wisconsin gets better. There are more places to camp and there are more amenities and attractions to keep families entertained,” said Lori Severson , executive director and CEO of WACO, which hosts?WisconsinCampgrounds.com, the traveling planning website that features independently owned campgrounds across the state.

CalOHA Updates Membership on Insurance Issues

As we’ve written previously, Commissioner Lara has recently introduced his Sustainable Insurance Strategy (SIS), which is designed to encourage long-term sustainability in the California insurance market. On Feb. 9, the first phase of the project was introduced — a wave of proposed regulatory reforms designed to make rate applications clearer and easier for insurance companies upfront. According to Commissioner Lara, the aim is “to eliminate confusion, reduce delays and enhance public participation in the rate-making process.”
