Ways To Effectively Network And Shoot Your Shot.

Before I proceed;

I would like to clear the air on what exactly I mean by ‘shooting your shot’ before I start hearing that people met their spouses via my newsletter while I’m still single and searching.??

This phrase ‘shoot your shot’ is basically you selling yourself (services and or products) to your potential clients.

I am sure the reason a lot of persons are currently on LinkedIn is simply because they heard this is the best platform to connect, network or ‘chill’ with the ‘big guys’ of your interested industry or niche.

Unfortunately, from observation and facts, I can boldly attest and affirm that more than 80% of persons have not still networked with those big guys.

Infact, we’re in a season of ‘creative’s or meet and greet hangouts’ where a lot of creatives and professionals are hosting their communities physically.

So, we have in a platter of gold rare opportunities to sell yourself out!

Personally, the first things I learned in the online space as an internet marketer is Elevator’s pitch.

You should learn that too. ????

In this newsletter, I will be showing you ways to effectively network and shoot your services to potential clients without seeming desperate.

These ways are;

1. Set Clear Goals:

I hosted a hangout for my online community in August 2023.

Before rushing to the next event in town, take a moment to set clear goals.

Goal setting helps you filter which events to attend and which ones to skip, saving you time, money, and the need to borrow clothes. ??

P.S; I came in peace. ??

When setting your goals, focus on the people you intend to connect with; they should be your top priority.

You can often access the attendees list or check the guest list on the event flyer.

Knowing who's attending can help you identify potential connections.

2. Prepare Thoroughly:

If you've been following my newsletters, you know I emphasize preparation.

It saves you from stress and embarrassment.

Make sure your clothes are clean and well-ironed.

Your appearance matters because how you dress is how you'll be addressed.

Dress professionally for every event with the mindset of presenting yourself effectively.

After taking care of your attire, rehearse.

Your dressing may grab attention, but your communication skills will keep you in the spotlight.

Practice your elevator pitch, conversation starters, and common manners because these will take you a long way.

3. Self-Promotion:

If you've followed the above steps, it's time to unashamedly sell yourself!

Shoot that shot and do if confidently as a solution provider that you are.

Never act desperate to speak with anyone, rather, they should see the value in you.

When I attend events, I'm more interested in people who know their worth and create mutually beneficial connections.

It's a win-win situation, which I consider a partnership.

Remember to maintain politeness and courtesy in all your interactions. ??

4. Follow-Up:

Networking is an ongoing journey, not a one-time event.

After making initial connections, be sure to follow up with a message.

Networking has numerous benefits, so don't underestimate its significance.

In summary, effective networking and self-promotion require clear goals, thorough preparation, confident self-presentation, and consistent follow-up.

These strategies will help you build valuable connections and advance your career or business.

I've recently launched an initiative titled the 'Every Dead Organization Must Rise Again' movement. ??

Within this movement, my focus is on aiding a select group of organizations in their revival, with the goal of multiplying their revenues by six through the transformative power of rebranding.

Additionally, I'll be providing coaching to the staff of these organisations, guiding them on the strategic utilization of social media to their advantage.

This involves converting ordinary social media users into potential customers and sealing profitable deals.

If you believe this operation could benefit your business, please don't hesitate to reach out to Peter Ebuka Agbo via direct message.

Best of luck! ????

Until next time, ??

Peter.
