Minding What Matters
One of the lessons I’m learning is that minding my business as an act of self-care.
For most of my life, I’ve had too many irons in the fire. Being busy being involved in too many projects took all of my energy so I rarely had time for myself.
Can you relate?
When I realized this habit and the harm it was causing I decided to gradually drop out and pull my irons out.
I had to ask myself why I was doing this and decide if it mattered in the grand scheme of living a self-care lifestyle. Most things didn’t matter so I released them.?
Quick action: Think about everything you are doing.? Does it matter to your big-picture life, goals, and happiness? If not, release it.?
Filling your cup?
Most women are giving from their last drop. News flash! This is NOT sustainable. This is why burnout is so rampant. Keeping up with and juggling too many projects and people drains your cup. What can you do to fill it?
Project Relaxation Station
Create a relaxation station in a corner of your office or bedroom. Escape to this corner often to re-center yourself after a stressful meeting.

Conquering Conference Exhaustion with Strategic Self-care
I want to a conference recently. It was important for me to build in mental and physical self-care. It is easy to try to do everything on the schedule then crash and burn when you get home. A better option is to be intentional about your well-being before you get there.?
If you are a conference or event coordinator create a relaxation station or recharge room for attendees to use during the event.?
When you build in self-care during conferences you’ll come back less drained and ready to follow-up with people you met and take action on what you learned.?
