This is the way the world ends!

This is the way the world ends!

We’re all going to die, all of us. What a circus! That alone should make us love each other, but it doesn’t. We are terrorized and flattened by life’s trivialities; we are eaten up by nothing.” - Bukowski

?Note to Reader:

There is no doubt that there is nothing new in what I write.

But

I am both sober and sincere.

I just want to call your attention to old and simple truth that every man knows and feels in the depths of his heart!

Thank you for your time in advance.

Dear Reader,

If a person’s life is in its final phase, Portuguese people say:

“He is rounding the Cape of Good Hope.”

It means that the person is close to seeing the infinite horizon.

It means that he is staring at the edge of the earth without fear.

It means that he has finally realized death is inevitable.

It means that he has finally become comfortable with the fact of his own death.

It means that he is finally free.

Because

He has nothing.

He possesses nothing.

He owns nothing.

All he has is what he gives.

______________________

Death scares all of us.

We avoid talking about it.

But we all know that aside from birth, the only other thing that is guaranteed to happen to every person on earth is death.

There are no exceptions.

What is the punch line?

Everyone is different.

Not better, not worse, just different.

Let’s appreciate the differences.

Let’s take responsibility when things go wrong.

It empowers us.

Let’s stop trying to impress others.

Let’s stop trying to be great, extraordinary, perfect, special, and so on.

Let’s just be simple, plain, genuine and mundane.

Let’s make time for our family and loved ones because we never know how long we have together.

Let’s always take a moment to realize that all the things we have are more important than anything we want to have.

What we already have is REAL.

Let’s appreciate it.

Last but not least,

Today is the most precious asset we own.
Carpe Diem!

Cheers to my Dearest Readers owning our moments in time!
