The way school makes you insecure
I’m not against school, but I believe that the educational system is defect in most countries. Here are 4 ways which prove this system has made you insecure.
You can’t be good at everything
The first way school has made you feel badly is by giving you 15 different classes for which you had to learn perfectly in order to have big grades.
The thing is, the doctor that takes care of your health isn’t an accountant and a journalist at the same time. We need specialists, people that are great at one or two things.
Competition creates winners, but also losers
School is a system that works based on competition, the winner is the one with the biggest grades, and the students with lower grades are losers.
The educational system has a low percent of “winners”, and after finishing school, most of them realize that all that information is not good, because theory doesn’t actually help them get a job. On the other hand, the “losers” start having a lower self-esteem.
Sometimes you have to be a puppet
Have you ever had a classmate that was doing everything for a teacher and he/she only had A’s? What about students with a strong personality, the creative ones, those who don’t like absurd rules?
They are the black sheep of the school, they get bad grades, they are being penalized for not being a puppet. The school wants white sheep.
School creates insecure people, but you don’t have to be one
I’m not trying to blame anyone, I’m just trying to make people more conscious. School isn’t a disease, it doesn’t have a problem with you, it’s just an old system.
The truth is, school will make you insecure and scared of life only if you let it.
When you’re little, you’re like a piece of wood, and those who educate you are carving in you. The problem is, many times they carve traumas, trust issues, fear and insecurity.
