Have you ever worked on something for a really long time, and then one day, you Nail it? It took me 3 years to get this picture.
It brings me a ridiculous amount of joy. It takes my breath away. I love every pixel of it.
I think investors feel this way about companies they choose that soar. I think Biz Dev folks know this feeling when they secure the perfect client or partner.
And I know presenters want this feeling when they pitch.
------
To me, owls possess an otherworldly beauty and mystery. Four years ago, I had never seen one in the wild. So that became my goal - to spot one.
Then one evening on a walk with my husband, we did! The male flew to the female. Nearly knocked her off the branch. Soaring silently through the air, we almost missed it.
I soon learned that a family of owls was 2 streets over from us. So I stepped up my game. And one late afternoon in June, I spotted one! I found the houses where they perch almost nightly in the summer. Night after night I would walk the quarter mile to their hangout and find them, swiveling their heads, looking at me with their glowing, nearly flourescent yellow eyes. I just sit and stare. I go to soak in their grandeur, their very “owl-ness.” It's my "Owl Oasis."
It is pure joy! And total awe.
Last month, I was sitting on the curb when I spotted this one. When he leaned forward off the branch I did not know he would take flight, but I was - sort of unknowintgly - ready. As soon as he did, I gasped. In a nanosecond, my heart began to race and I snapped the camera like mad. I prayed for no blur and for one. good. photo of the magic I had just witnessed.
It is rare to see an owl take flight in daylight. Getting this shot? I was on a high for days.

I had Nailed It.
The I Nailed It Feeling is a real high. It's something that once you feel it once, you begin to crave it. You develop an appetite for it. You want to find the formula to feel it more.
I can get you to this feeling in front of an audience. Wouldn't it be awesome to know the formula to feel it in your pitch or presentation? You have probably been to workshops. You might have watched videos or taken other courses.
Which is awesome!
Because that tells me you are ready.
You are serious about mastering your message and you have what it takes.
It took me 3 years to get this shot. But it will not take you that long to achieve the I Nailed It Feeling in your pitch.
