Way More Than I Expected

In January, I made the intentional commitment to show up on LinkedIn. I vowed to ‘provide value’ and ‘be consistent’. Except for some hiccups here and there, I kept that vow.

It was NOT easy. Life lifed...hard.

There were posts I took hours crafting meticulously, certain they would resonate deeply. Some landed with 20-30 likes and a handful of comments, but the majority? Not so much.?

Plenty of times I could have quit, and wanted to. However, I kept showing up posting, running programs, welcoming clients, building slowly and steadily.

Then, the other day I wrote a post about Beyoncé at the NFL Christmas show with absolutely no forethought. It was just pure passion about her performance being a declaration of claiming space and refusing to shrink. The response was wild and well beyond anything I expected. Thousands of likes, hundreds of comments and reposts, and dozens of new connections blowing me away.

As heady as it is to experience having a "viral post," what stood out the most was way more important than the metrics; it was the conversation happening around the post. The comments reflected something much deeper stirring in all of us who've ever been told "not here, not you, not now." The comments showed how many of us are ready to stand in our power, fully as ourselves, despite what others may think, do, or say.?

?Some say it's easier when you're at the top or have money. But every stadium performance starts in a small venue. Every standing ovation begins with performing to empty rooms. Every revolution starts with one voice daring to speak.?

What I didn't realize when I made that January vow was that every post I posted was building an unshakeable trust in my own voice. Each vulnerable share strengthened my skills, but more importantly, my conviction.

This particular post wasn't a stroke of luck, it was the natural evolution of months, years actually, spent building a foundation of self-trust, of learning to stand firmly in my truth even when it seemed like no one was listening.

You?cannot 'build confidence', 'find your voice', 'claim your space', or 'own your power' in a vacuum. It happens in the space between speaking and being heard. Between trusting yourself enough to share and allowing others to witness your truth.

Your revolution won’t be measured in ‘likes’ or comments. It will be measured by the courage to be undeniably, unshakably, unapologetically yourself. In your power to turn rejection into rocket fuel.

2025 is calling, and all signs say she’s going to be a doozy. It's asking for your voice, your wisdom, your truth, your confidence. Not when you're ready. Not when it feels safe.

Now.

The world doesn't need your quiet observations. It needs your roar.
