The Way Forward

A good story never ends. We always want to know what happened after whatever the end is shown.
We would still be excited to watch Harry Potter season if it starts again from where it was left or ended. Still Game of Thrones ending is not liked by fans and expect a good way forward. We still wish to know what happened to Pandavas after war. And many such stories are there which we would like to be continued. We do not wish anything good to end.
On these same lines, a nice presentation should not end with a description of a good product but with showcasing the way forward for the product. What new developments are expected in the product or the organisation or whatever we are promoting.
When I was working with a manufacturing unit, my last slide included the new machines company is willing to install. During the tenure in IT product company, last sentences were about the new products we were working on. This keeps the listener engaged and shows the commitment towards progress.
A way forward slide or talk would not only give direct information to audience about the developments but also will convey the thought process of the organisation. How we want to grow and how we will help audience to grow in the future. We are not satisfied with this awesome product but it is just a start. There is much more to come.
I believe this approach has huge impact on the listener.
So, whatever may be the discussion, do remember to end with THE WAY FORWARD.
