This weekend's newsletter article ?? begins with me riding the 1-train to the NYC Theater District to meet some friends for dinner at Carmine's, followed by going to The Lion King, one of my favorite Broadway shows.
While our dinner reservation at Carmine's was for six o'clock, I decided to arrive 30 minutes early so I could roam ???? around the Theater District and Times Square, intentionally enjoying the sights, sounds, and incredible vibes of my beloved New York City!
On top of that, since it's been a while since I last saw a Broadway show in person, I thought it would be cool to take pics ?? of some of the buildings where some of the most popular Broadway Musicals and Plays reside for my photo journal.
Before I knew it, I was walking ???? through the 42nd Street subway station, heading to the street level. Along the way, I came across a cool-looking mural and two guys singing right beside it, and I immediately started walking in their direction.
I walked up to the mural to get a closer look, and then I watched the guys perform for a few minutes. As you might expect, I ended up leaving them a tip as a small token of my appreciation for them sharing their talents. Good stuff!
The next thing I remember, I was outside and walking up forty deuce street when suddenly, I looked to my right, and my eyes ?? locked on to the New Victory Theater building!
Then, when I looked ?? to my left, I spotted the entrance to Aladdin, The Broadway Musical, and was reminded of a fun experience at the show, which put a smile ?? on my face.
As I continued walking ???? up 42nd Street, I bumped into Dwayne Johnson, AKA, The Rock, who was standing in front of Madame Tussauds New York and next to a Haunted House, taking pictures ?? with some of his fans. Lol!
After walking by The Rock, I cut through the Marriott Marquis Hotel, and when I landed back outside, I was standing near the Marquis Theatre and the entrance to the Hamilton Broadway Musical.
I continued with my stroll ???? and captured additional pics ?? of the entrances to more Broadway shows, which I included in this article for your viewing ?? pleasure.
By the way, if you are curious about the Replica British Telephone Booth, you see below like I was, I discovered that once you enter the red telephone box, you are guided to follow special instructions to unlock a magical ?? message.???

Soon, it was 5:53 pm, so I started rushing ???? towards Carmine's to avoid being late, and when I was a block away, I ran into Batman and Bumblebee??, one of the Transformers.
It's worth mentioning that Batman and Bumblebee waved me over and tried to hustle me out of some cash ?? because they saw me take their pic. Lol!
After a spirited and funny exchange with the two superheroes, I went inside Carmine's to meet my friends for dinner and couldn't wait to devour ?? some of Carmine's delicious chicken parm!
We went on to enjoy a lovely dinner, and with our tummies all full, we slowly walked over to the Minskoff Theatre and went inside to watch The Lion King—the end.
Question?

2 年What a fantastic weekend you had Anthony! When I think of NYC, I always think of plays and musicals. You are very lucky to be right there, although we get our share of great ones in San Francisco as well. I don’t always go to musicals, perhaps I should start ! My latest one was The Misérables. Growing up in a French school, I was very familiar with the story, and the play was great. Thanks so much for sharing this experience with us.
