WAY BACK IN OUGHT 6!!! OUGHT 7!!! AND OUGHT 8!!!

DON'T YOU LOVE IT WHEN THOSE OLD FOLKS TALK THAT WAY!!! REFERRING TO THE LAST CENTURY--BUT WAIT!!! Those folks are mostly gone--We are now in a new century and guess what ought 6, 7 and 8 is in this century Now!!! AND THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY HAD SOME DOOZIES IN THOSE YEARS!!!. Forgive me if I don't remember exactly what happened when. My only and favorite son died in late 2006 so it's all a blur exactly what happened when but I can tell YOU that the s--t hit the fan! That Wall Street played with Real Estate, manipulating mortgages AND INVESTORS like puppets and almost ruined the economy. I walked into a bank and told them I needed a loan for $3,000,000 on My Real Estate and they told me no problem EXCEPT I COULDN'T GET THE APPRAISALS, so it was a problem. Many people swore off Real Estate For life (some have since come back realizing that there is no other way to make the money they can make in real estate as safely and that those years and conditions were a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence--like COVID). BUT THEN, SO WAS THE DEPRESSION OF 1939--ALSO PROBABLY CAUSED BY THE MANIPULATION OF THE STOCK MARKET. PEOPLE WHO OWNED RENTAL PROPERTY OR WHO TURNED THEIR PROPERTY INTO RENTALS DURING BOTH TIMES IN HISTORY SURVIVED AND EVEN THRIVED because people always need a place to live.

Property prices went down, People with the foresight to buy property (again during both times in history) made money. Those who sold in a panic lost money.

When the real estate market turned around there was a pent up demand for housing but not much product thus creating a demand.

Here is the story of an investor who found a need and filled it. She happens to be my daughter. Her and her husband owned a company that bought and fixed up property which she sold as a Real Estate agent. She had several properties for sale when the market picked back up and agents would ask her where are YOU finding these properties? I create them she replied. What they would do was buy property with 2 stories but with only one finished. They would go in and finish the second story; putting in a full bath and two bedrooms turning a 2 bedroom, one bath house into a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house virtually doubling the square footage and increasing the value of the property substantially; as well as the salability.
