On the way to ALMOST normal...
It's hard to believe it has been over a year since the pandemic knocked us all out of our routines. From school closures to working from home, ordering in becoming the new normal, and the insane amount of screen time... this year has been a drastic change for so many people, especially the youth! I could talk hours and hours about the effects of all of this on my own kids, but I'd rather use this platform to CELEBRATE something great. SPRING SEASON IS HAPPENING ON THE LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL FIELD! Registration is open, coaches are volunteering and the board of dedicated community members are working to keep players safe and back on the field.
I find this joyful for so many reasons. The youth will finally have an opportunity to return to a place they used to spend countless hours. The players and family members will be walking the freshly cut grass, swinging bats, throwing balls, and cheering on teammates. I just cannot wait to be out there watching the players run around and have a few moments of almost normal. The positivity that will come from this is huge and I am so appreciative of the return of this opportunity. Although things will look different this season, it's a step toward a return to normalcy and I applaud all who are working hard to make it happen for the youth of our Community. Let the home runs, unfair calls and stealing of bases BEGIN!
