Watts New? | October
Welcome to the October edition of "Watts New", Cleanwatts' monthly?email newsletter!?
Now that summer has come to an end and all eyes are set on the last stretch of the year, we want to welcome you back with some exciting news. We are proud to announce our participation in the Northern Powergrid Community DSO project in the UK. This initiative aims to revolutionize energy independence through the management of local Energy Sharing , enabling communities to take greater control of their energy resources and drive decarbonization efforts. ?
One of the main challenges in this task is implementing advanced local optimization to support the grid and maximize cost savings. This is where we excel. Our CW OS creates more efficiency in local systems, significantly reducing energy costs for end consumers while supporting overall grid stability. Our solution not only optimizes energy use but also unlocks additional savings opportunities for communities.
Our model has already proven successful in Portugal, reducing costs for organizations while benefiting local communities. We're now applying this approach in the UK, enhancing it with energy flexibility and congestion reduction capabilities. This expansion brings our proven technology to new markets while introducing advanced features that further optimize grid performance and community benefits.
Interested in learning more? Join our upcoming webinar featuring Michael Villa, head of smartEn, and Neil Bailey from Nodes, where we'll dive deep into the business case behind this innovative energy sharing model. This discussion has the potential to shape the future of sustainable energy.

I would like to invite you to keep on reading and find out what we have been up to this past month:
?? We held an event launching one of our Energy Communities in Lisbon and had the pleasure to be joined by the Secretary of State for Energy
?? At Flexcon in Amsterdam, we presented Cleanwatts innovative model at Europe's premier flexible demand management conference
?? Do you know why decentralized production has become more than a trend?Thank you for joining us on this journey towards a cleaner, brighter future. We are always happy to stay in touch and discuss how we can bring the energy transition where it matters most together.

We are launching more and more Energy Communities - and this time, we had some help
Earlier this month, we held a public session in Oeiras, Lisbon, to invite the local community to share their thoughts and questions on Energy Communities. This was held with Monteiro Electro Fabril and we had the pleasure of having the Secretary of State for Energy, Maria Jo?o Pereira, joining us.

We just got back from Amsterdam, after 3 days at Flexcon
We had the chance to take this international stage and go into more deatils about how we are?pioneering energy sharing in Portugal and in the UK . It's always an incredible opportunity to find partners?who share our vision of a more decentralized, cleaner energy landscape, up to shaping the future of sustainable energy.

PropTech Connect was a success
There's nothing quite like spending our days in the company of like-minded people, focused on driving the energy transition forward across all sectors and industries. Early in September, we traveled to London to attend PropTech Connect, in the great company of everyone at PropTechLab, and we've come back more energized to move the needle in the sector.
Thanks for plugging in!
We hope you enjoyed this month's "Watts New". Stay tuned for more updates on clean energy and a brighter future. We will see you next month!
