Primarily waterproofing material should not only make surface impervious should also manage to face the attack of soil, chemicals, and pressure apart from peer pressure from top due to traffic if any.?This is apart from bonding with material of construction which is of different age and material of construction for every element can have different source of materials of construction.
To overcome these kind of situation we have to make primary substrate itself impervious and that is easily possible with cementetious composites with nano polymers.?Cementetious is better as it will gel with structure which is also made out of cement.?Being impregnate it can seal the veins and cavities to greater extent making substrate quite impervious, cohesive and strong.?To prevent chemical attack from soil and other sources modified epoxies are best as their coefficiency of thermal expansion can be made compatible and also chemical resistant.
To prevent structure from stress failure a bitumat which is heat sealed will be best to survive for longer period.?If elements have buckle joints then it will be more comfortable to prevent any leakages.
Eps/thermocoal coated with polyurea will eliminate the necessity for multilayered waterproofing and structures.?Polyurea of higher grade should be selected instead of run of the mill products.

Alternatively wrapping with aerogel sheets will eliminate all process.?Impregnation with cementetious composites is always required to treat the wound ie permeability but bandaging materials only can vary like aerogel, eps, bitumat etc.?Aerogel being thin material it can take any engineered shape and can stay put apart from doing required job.
