Waterproofing a basement (using crystalline effect technology)

One of the most efficient ways to #waterproof your #basement is with products that create #crystals in the capillary cracks of the #concrete that comprises your basement. This could be done with a combination of two types of products. But here it is how it goes.
1. Add a #crytalline effect concrete #admixture into the concrete. This, in combination with the water presence in the soil, will eventually create crystals in the #capillary cracks of the concrete. Once these crystals are created, the water ingress through the cappilary cracks will be stopped. However, it will still be vapor permeable.
2. After 28 days of concrete setting (actually this could be done earlier as well), you can start the preparation works for #smoothenting the #surface you want to waterproof with a sealing slurry. You can use a #repairing mortar with crystalline effect as well.
3. Once you have everything done, you can apply the crystalline effect #sealing #slurry and thus ensure that no water will be getting inside your #structure.
4. Then, the best thing you could do, is to have a #drainage #membrane that will lead all water to the sewage system and #protect your #waterproofing #layer.
You think you could propose something different? Something better?
Please elaborate on this and share your thoughts below. #BuildingPeaceOfMind needs your contribution.

9 å¹´Is a case study aroused "great interest" but... l always suggest to draw the details that cause this constructive defect and call you by name; ie every detail Therefore. I advise always make a good diagnosis, as any surgeon before operating (intervene). certainly the diagnosis by a good expert help solve them and which are called surface cracks is and what we call structural cracks; we also evaluate, if needed or not needed to build contraction joints and if necessary, install a floating membrane or liquid membrane adherent to 100% of the substrate (polymeric compounds) and If we said membrane meets industrial and technique/decorative functions even for high traffic. "I hope to have activated forum, at such interesting question".

9 å¹´I think that injecting from the negative side to form a membrane on the positive side would be more effective. The advantage is: the wall will remain dry because you keep the water where it is: on the outside.
