The Water in you is calling

Do you remember the last time you had to change a habit, like starting an exercise routine or eating healthier food? How did it feel to push yourself to do the right thing?
Imagine you're at work, in a team meeting. Your colleague is giving an update, and you feel an urge to interrupt and correct him. Despite previous feedback from your team, you struggle to stop yourself. Changing ingrained habits is challenging.
Have you heard about the nature of water? In a recent TED talk by Raymond Tang, I gained a fundamental insight into the nature of change through water.
Water is incredibly adaptable. It takes the shape of its container, adjusts to the surrounding temperature, and can become sweet or salty depending on what you add to it. As a tsunami, water has the power to devastate, yet when used correctly, it can save lives during droughts.
Despite all adverse conditions, water retains its properties, utilities, and importance. Change does not impact water’s abilities or identity.
According to NASA, about 70 percent of the human body is water, and more than 70 percent of Earth is covered in water. Water sustains and nurtures plants, animals, and humans, making Earth perfect for life.
Shouldn't we also be highly adaptable to changing circumstances and environments? When situations are tough, shouldn’t we be flexible like water? Resisting change goes against our true nature to adapt. If water doesn't control its environment, why do we think we should? If water is flexible, why do we become rigid?

The water in our bodies is the same as the water we see everywhere. By resisting change, we go against our true nature, causing discomfort. Accepting our current situation, being flexible to changing needs, and adapting to new ways of working and living is the path to success and prosperity.
Let's all be like water, because adaptability is in our nature.
