This week we are focussing on FILTECH Germany, some exciting new appointments and some other news in the industry!
This week in water, we have Filtech 2024, happening November 12-14 in Cologne, Germany, will bring together both established and emerging companies pioneering advances in water filtration and environmental sustainability. Smaller yet innovative companies will be highlighted, such as Inge GmbH from Germany, known for their Multibore? membrane technology used in high-resilience ultrafiltration, ideal for seawater desalination and wastewater treatment in harsh conditions.
Dutch company NX Filtration is set to showcase its Direct Nanofiltration (dNF) technology, which enables efficient removal of micropollutants without extensive pre-treatment, making it a sustainable choice for both municipal and industrial applications.
Hydranautics - A Nitto Group Company , will present advanced reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration membranes designed for industries like textile processing, where high-recovery desalination is essential due to water scarcity concerns.
From Australia,Puratec Water Treatment will highlight its modular systems tailored for rural and remote areas, delivering compact, low-maintenance solutions suitable for decentralized treatment needs. Additionally, Scinor Water America, LLC brings cutting-edge Thermal-Induced Phase Separation (TIPS) membrane technology, which enhances durability and fouling resistance, helping municipalities achieve higher efficiency without the need for costly infrastructure overhauls.

Appointments of the week!
Paul Reilly appointed President and Director of 科进 UK and Ireland.
?WSP has appointed Paul Reilly as President & Managing Director for its UK & Ireland business, effective January 2025. Currently Deputy CEO, Reilly will join WSP’s Global Leadership Team and lead strategic initiatives in infrastructure, energy, and environment. Reilly, who joined WSP in 2022, previously served as Managing Director for Planning & Advisory.

Mark Steele appointed as Chief of Operations at Arqiva
Arqiva has appointed Mark Steele as Chief of Operations. Steele, who joined in 2015, held various roles, including Director of Service and Field Operations, managing UK broadcasting and smart utilities. His permanent appointment follows an interim period in Spring 2024.
