This week, we highlight some of the best industry awards and we congratulate companies on their success. Over the last week or so, there has been some fantastic recognition towards companies excelling by delivering revolutionary and innovative solutions in the sector.

LG Sonic recently attended Ifat Brazil, and were awarded the Innovative technology Award for the 2024 edition. The award recognises and celebrates the company’s leadership in water treatment innovation and highlights the global success and reliability of their treatment solutions all around the world. The award is especially significant in benefiting the region’s environmental strains, with around 35 million Brazilians lacking access to treated water. LG Sonic solution success and overall approach to tackling sustainable but efficient water and wastewater treatment, is essential for a positive long-term future for the communities in surrounding areas.
LG Sonic has installations in over 60 countries, including Brazil’s largest drinking water reservoir which has proven to enhance water quality.
Renix Inc. has also been signed with the Innovative Technology Award - Another fantastic company showcasing the great scope of potential within our water industry.
Judd Larned takes office as President of Water Quality Association for the year 24/25!
Larned has been president of Culligan’s North American business since 2015, leading product ?development, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of Culligan products in collaboration with the Culligan Dealer network.
He said “ Water Quality Association represents a dynamic, growing industry that helps millions of people access better water. I look forward to collaborating with industry peers and fellow WQA members as we advance our commitment to consumers.”
The sector is set to see more Water Industry Awards take place this summer, with a UK Special celebration on the 4th July 2024 - The Vox, Birmingham, recognising Digitalisation Project Of The Year, Net Zero Carbon Initiative Of The Year, Smart Water Networks Award, Water Efficiency Project of the Year.
AI Takeovers
Xylem and Idrica are continuously revolutionising the water industry, and together they are delivering innovative digital solutions to tackle the challenges arising with water and wastewater utilities worldwide.
The two companies are celebrating a unique online and fee-to-attend webinar, which will take place on Wednesday, May 8th. The online webinar sees industry specialists Manuel Parra , Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at Xylem and Pablo Calabuig Vice President of America’s Region at Idrica, reveal innovative approaches to water-loss control trough the utilization of real-time data analytics and District Metered Areas.
