Water scarcity and recycling
Czechs are hesitant when asked to do more individually to adres the water scarcity.
In 2020 Veolia carried out a research that unveiled the level of interest Czech citizens give to the water scarcity. While more than 73 % interviewed people acknowledge the existence of increasing water stress in our environment, less sensitive to the fact are are inhabitants living in large agglomerations (e.g. Prague). When it comes to the practical measures that we are individually prepared to take, the majority of interviewed people accepted only the measures that entail no negative effect on their daily comfort. The positive part of the research uncovered that the public perception of recycled water changes in time with 55 % of respondents willing to taste this type of recovered resource (like Veolia recycled beer ERKO).
