Water in India - getting worse
Water is precious - but it seems that here in the continuous sprawl of South Central Texas, the manicured lawns and walkways are a rather obvious reminder that the HOA requirements for green, green, green are more important. ?And no, this is not the reuse of greywater - this green lush grass is courtesy of the consumption of our precious fresh potable water supply.?
In Central Texas, we are just starting week 3 of continuous 100+ degrees with no relief in sight, but as you can see - our community is green. No water shortage here, it seems, despite the fact that 84% of Texas is actually in drought conditions (see link below).?
Nothing like the poor folks in India, but water is precious and vital to all.?I am just not sure manicured lawns should be the key priority.?However, this seems to be true of suburban communities across America.
