Water Water Everywhere....!

Good morning, everyone!

"Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink..." This famous line from Coleridge's poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" describes the plight of mariners at sea, surrounded by water yet unable to drink it due to a lack of freshwater on their ship, leaving them parched and thirsty.

In real life, we see this metaphor playing out on an extraordinary scale! The Earth produces enough food, fresh water, cotton, and minerals to keep its entire population well-fed, healthy, clothed, sheltered and protected. Yet millions go hungry and thirsty, wear dirty or tattered clothes, and have no roof over their heads. Why is this so? We should look at the methods we adopt through organized legal, social, economic, and political systems that keep many impoverished while protecting the rights of a wealthy few. Additionally, the greed and subservient nature of human beings contribute to this unholy situation.
