The Watchman

I’m not here to judge you or anyone else, I don’t know what is in your heart: only God does.

My concern, and my chief motivation in beginning this ministry, is that death is not the sweet nothingness that modern science wants you to believe that it is: Which is to say, the karmic return of our molecules and energy into the environment. Death is a physical end of the body, but our soul has to continue for ever.

Of course, you may want to insist that there is no such thing as a soul because science can’t detect it. I get it. Yet my position is that this reflects the failure of science, not that there is no soul. Although, I have to say, is it really the failure of science or it’s unspoken mission to make you reject the idea that there is a soul? If we consider that Satan is our enemy and that he is destined for hell and the lake of fire, but that he is determined to take as many human souls as possible with him into damnation, then it begins to look like Satan himself has guided the development of science over the course of history to bring us to the point now where millions and millions of people reject the possibility that there is a soul, and appear to have no concern at all about a possible afterlife.

These are deeply troubling issues, for we live in deeply troubling times.

So to get back to my point: why does it matter? If we knew Jesus Christ during our lifetime then at death we are purified, placed into a new body, and we go on into eternity in the presence of almighty God. Those that rejected Christ will pass through death and awake to the horror of torment in hell. It’s not a pretty picture. There are times when I feel like apologizing for even writing the words. However, there is a particular passage in the book of Ezekiel that speaks to me and the time that we are in. This is in the same context that I have discussed previously, of having at our disposal an Internet capable of reaching pretty much everybody on earth.

It goes something like this: If I know the truth and I have the ability to warn people but don’t do it: their blood will be on my hands. If I warn people and they reject me then I am not responsible for their outcome. From Ezekiel 33:1-9

1. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2. Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3. If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4. Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
7. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
8. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. (Ezekiel 33:1-9)

It’s bleak, I know, but this gets to the very heart of this ministry. I’m going to use the Internet to warn everyone that I encounter that science is not the benign friend that you think it is. You are not safe from the judgment of God because you have a bunch of cool tech to play with. Indeed, all the evidence that science claims as proof of its godless existence narrative can be shown to be evidence of the history of earth exactly as described in the Bible. Global warming is very real, but is isn’t the result of human activity on earth. Global warming is caused by the expansion of hell as thousands upon thousands of human souls pour into it every day.

Again, it’s bleak, I’m sorry. Yet there is an upside to this: Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior and you will not suffer torment in hell. You will be received into glory in heaven. You would be well served by reading in the Bible the last two chapters: Revelation 21 & 22. The glory that awaits us is beyond anything we can imagine
