Watch your language!

Hello and welcome back. Several of you D/M'd me asking for additional information on developing their resilience. So here is my third Newsletter here on Linkedin 3 weeks earlier than planned.

Our beliefs and values have a powerful impact on our thoughts and feelings. In turn they impact our behaviour. Which in turn impacts our happiness, quality of life, income and the outcomes we achieve in life.

In a past newsletter I discussed self definition.?How our past and present impacts how we define ourselves. Yet, unless we consciously do a merge and purge we all too often allow old broken, negative and confusing past situations define us.

To move beyond that we need to ensure we guard the gates of our mind and heart to ensure an honest, realistic definition of self. Then through our use of language ensure we are being true to, authentic to our core values and expectations of self.

So here are four key phrases the researches know that those who are being resilient and creating positive outcomes use frequently.

Remember it's not about perfection, it's about achieving excellence as often as possible for higher quality experiences and outcomes.

So buckle up. Here are four life altering phrases and the action each represents.

I Am

– Using and developing my inner strength and skills (Inner Locus)

I Have – Friends and support through connections

that include personal, family, friends, school, social, hobby,

sports, professionals, volunteer and people in the community.

?I Can

– Use my problem solving and creativity skills to help

myself

I Do – Take safe action to build and nurture my life creating positive outcomes.

In more detail

I Can – Use my problem solving and creativity skills to help

?So our beliefs and values become our thoughts and feelings that in turn impact our action, behaviour, choice of who we allow in our lives, and what quality of life we have and achieve. What are you doing to manage, upgrade and take action on?

Our language and behaviour shows the world over time who and what we are. What are you doing and going to do to up level your life? You're worth it. However it takes time and it takes goals and action. Start now and think big!

I loved this phrase “Remember it's not about perfection, it's about achieving excellence as often as possible for higher quality experiences and outcomes” that’s completely correct.
