To watch something grow and contribute

What’s a meaningful existence?
There are many answers to this question. One came to me as I looked out of my window just now and observed my neighbour attend to the plants on her balcony.
The story I’m telling myself is that she is quite alone. I never see anybody with her, and some people just have that kind of vibe. But she also seems so content each time I see her.
Just days earlier I had told someone how meaningful I find it to see people grow in my line of work, and to be an active participant in that journey. It occurred to me that my neighbour does the exact same thing: She plays an active role in her plants growing and flourishing.
Parenting offers meaning in the same lane. There are few things more fullfilling than to play an active part in shaping and nourishing others. Plants, animals, people, structures, systems, ideas - I don’t think it necessarily matters that much.
What I think do matters is to share it with others, to contribute to something that’s larger than yourself. I think that’s why the majority of my neighbour’s plants are on the balcony, rather than inside her flat hidden from view.
Or maybe not... I should drop her a note, tell her she’s been my inspiration for today.
What’s a meaningful existence… I feel so grateful that I get to explore this question in depth with so many different people. Some aspects seem quite common, but none I’ve come across are universal. What I do know is that finding your own answer/s makes a crucial difference to your sense of wellbeing, focus, drive, engagement, relationships, and your general lived experience as you’re navigating your human condition. So if you ever wnated to explore this, do reach out to an existential coach. Trust me, they’re gonna be super excited to help you figure this out! I certainly am .

Next Event: An unfolding approach to coaching with Steve March -
Coaching Lab #50
This one's been a year in the making and I'm so excited that the wonderfully deep and integral Steve March agreed to showcase his approach to coaching in our Lab. Steve's coaching draws on fascinating depth and brings together a range of different lenses and approaches, culminating in "Aletheia Coaching" which he's been teaching to coaches for the past decade and will be opening up for us in this month's event.
Steve says:
"Hi, I'm Steve March, founder of Aletheia (integralunfoldment.com ). I'm a champion for the power and wonder of the human spirit. Today, humanity is collectively facing a poly-crisis of enormous scale and complexity rooted in a meta-crisis. In my view, this challenging situation is calling us to become a new kind of human being, one whose ways of being more sustainably care for the whole (instead of just our part). I created Aletheia, an emerging ecosystem of courses, practices groups, and communities to gather and support people who want to take up this critical project. Our core offering is training in Aletheia Coaching, a next-generation bio-psycho-social-spiritual-eco coaching methodology that shifts the focus of transformation from self-improvement to unfoldment. Unfoldment is an antidote to seemingly endless self-improvement projects and offers a way to navigate the complex system of crises we face. Formerly, I worked in the field of software development for 15 years both as a software engineer and a manager in large corporations and in smaller and more nimble companies. Today, I often coach leaders in hi-tech and bio-tech. I have been a professional coach since 2000 and a coach trainer since 2003, previously as senior faculty at New Ventures West from 2009-2019. I left the corporate world in 2006 and founded Aletheia in 2013. As of our ten-year anniversary, Aletheia has graduates on six continents (still working to break into the Antarctica market). I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and can often be found exploring and enjoying the surrounding nature or cooking when I'm not working as a coach or trainer."
If you’ve attended our Coaching Lab with AI Coach Bot Alpina and its creator and trainer Rebecca Rutschmann last month, you will remember that Rebecca announced a Jonathan Passmore backed research study that was about to go into the participant recruitment phase.
This is to let you know that you can now partake in this research. More info and links below. Please feel free to share this, so that together we can grow the knowledge base around the impact and competencies of AI Coaching.

From Rebecca:
We are looking for research participants: for those who want to contribute to the current research I do with Jonathan Passmore on AI Coaching capabilities and have never used an AI Coach before themselves, please use this link and, if ok, share the session transcript at the end back with us. We will use this in an anonymised form with ICF MCC assessors to get them evaluated for competencies and you would be asked to fill in a short research survey:
Research Alpina Link (you will have to register as we are processing your Data and storing it on our servers in Germany safely): https://player.evoach.de/invitation/37e3c47a-3f6d-4e91-90c0-e8121a6bea44?autostart=true
Here is a video on how to use it and share the session transcript for the research:

It would be amazing to get some people from the Nordics for this survey too, coaches are also welcome to share it with clients that have never used an AI coach before.
