WATCH: Leading Ourselves, Others and Organisations

Three amazing actuarial leaders spoke about their careers and experiences for our third fireside chat webinar this month. Essential watching for aspiring actuaries and more established colleagues alike.?

The lively, engaging session explores Marjorie’s work as a coach, Kartina’s past as Foundation chair and her upcoming role as President of the IFoA and Andrew’s experience co-founding the Fullerton-Long Caribbean Scholarship Fund with the Foundation.

The chat touches on volunteering, collaboration across disciplines and countries, philanthropy, mentorship and, of course, the IFoA Foundation. Thank you Bradley for facilitating the discussion so well.?

This webinar was the final event of Aspiring Actuaries Mentoring 2023-24 a global group mentoring programme designed for early career actuaries from diverse backgrounds. Thank you Barnett Waddingham , our generous corporate patron this year. We look forward to sharing feedback from mentees soon.

If you missed the live chat, watch the recording on our YouTube channel , where you'll also find two previous sessions to catch up on. And it counts as CPD.

Partnership enhances support for aspiring actuaries

A new partnership with ACTEX Learning enhances the IFoA Foundation's ability to support our aspiring actuary beneficiaries with more than money on their journey to Fellowship.?

ACTEX has become a Supporting Partner with a donation to our Social Impact Fund and a commitment to offer free and discounted study materials to our beneficiary groups. The first to benefit are the 2024 Mahidhara Davangere South Asia scholars who have been able to choose a package of study materials for their next IFoA exam free of charge.?

As the relationship develops we hope to roll out offers to other groups to better support their chances to excel in actuarial science and join our vibrant, global profession.?

Thank you ACTEX Learning !
