WATCH BUYING GUIDE…

Helping clients with Construction. “I speak alot about watches”
All this is only my opinion, if you don’t agree with me please comment below.
In the past few months I’ve been helping some of my friends buy watches, and guiding them towards their final destination, it definitely feels good when you achieve the goal of making them happy, the question is what is the right watch to buy?
When it comes to “Looks” everyone has their own preference, though we are supposed to fit the watch to the style we are wearing, for example a beautiful suit comes with Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, to be honest the new tribute chronograph is one of a kind piece it comes in a classic blue dial and nato style strap, as well you can turn it around and you have the super complicated movement and all for 25K I think its a definite winner.
As well you can put on this Reverso on for a “Sunday fun day” as its big enough to handle itself, it is a manual watch which gives it a OG feel, and two straps included. But not for the pool, for the pool I would suggest you to have a divers watch like the Glashütte Original SeaQ.
The new SeaQ is 43mm big which gives it a nice presence, with a beautiful green or blue bezel, true divers watch and can be bought as well on a nato strap, for this is the perfect German watch company with a real long history on watch making with a very underrated price tag at 11.5K, you get more for this watch than a ROLEX GMT Hulk, while the Rolex is hot for thieves, this watch will be able to go unnoticed.
If you are a “one watch person” most people will opt for Rolex, AP, or Patek, while these three brands are really nice, how about you get a Hublot ! Nah I’m just kidding. Do you know what should be a one watch collection? Parmigiani Fleurier SA Tonda new sport, you can have it in steel or gold 41mm for me the steel is the way to go, you can have it on a bracelet or strap, for me no doubt it would be both lol, you can even go deeper and get with a date or without a date, as little as 20K MSRP
If you look at the dial Parmigiani has, it is worth dying for the watch, hand made with hours and hours to produce each and everyone, on a in house micro rotor movement with extreme accuracy, very few companies could beat this, with all these good things said the wait line for this watch is very long, I hope you have a chair and umbrella to sit and wait.
If you are not satisfied as a fun enthusiast, I would suggest you looking at the GERALD GENTA Bvlgari Mickey Mouse, I have written about this watch in there past. In the past month I was lucky enough to try it on my wrist and feel this master piece, it was a true magnificent piece, I would buy it in a heart beat, at a price tag of 23K it really is no big deal if you have the funds ??

This watch has been produced in a limited amount of 200 pieces and discontinued, it is said that the Japan Emperor Hirohito wore a Mickey Mouse watch, if this is for you let me know and ill show where to get one.
To end of this weeks article, if I had to choose one watch for life, it is one of the most brutal questions I’ve ever been asked, and its almost like giving up on my kids (just kidding), Rolex Explorer 2 is a definitely yes, Audemars Piguet Royal oak 38mm I can’t decline, Patek Philippe Aquanut white gold blue dial I wont look away.
But there is only one watch in the world that does not put their name on the watch, they don’t have to show off to the world their brand, this watch has a integrated bracelet but not like all others but something more special, the case is not round but also not square, the dial is blue but not any blue but a special traditional art form of enamelling to form waves on the dial, this watch has seriously beautiful small second dial, it is non other than the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner!!!
Moser is been a professional in the Swiss industry for a long time as I have written in the past about them, they are truly rare while being priced moderate for this special edition it is under 30K, if you wanna go with a more classic one you could go for 22K for the Smoked Salmon dial also a crazy watch, Moser watches could be used for anything and everything in the world and be beat up for years.
I have no doubt that some of you will tell me go with a simple Rolex and finish, yes you are right a Rolex does the job, but this watch makes life worth living.
What do you think?
Let me know
See you next week

12 个月If I had the money, the Patek Phillipe Aquanaut 40mm is the one watch I can wear for life. It’s neither big nor small, the embossed dial is an eye candy, and its octagonal case goes with any occasion. With 120m water resistance, I really mean any occasion. And I’ll go with both a stainless steel bracelet and rubber strap to see this through.
