Watch: The AO advertising journey
Last month I spoke in DCMN's conference in Berlin and shared some short lessons from the ao.com advertising journey in the last 2 years.
You are welcome to watch it here (and leave a comment or "like" if you want :)

1) At first we explored and tried different things on Social Media, which allowed us to find our tone of voice, and our true partners - the customers.
2) Then we decided to try TV advertising, but weren't loyal to the customers and invented new world. It worked, but hasn't resonated as well as we wanted.
3) On the current phase of the journey we use customers testimonial adverts in the UK and Germany. Yes, we not re-inventing the wheel, but it definitely explain people what we do and resonates with the audience.
If you made it all the way here, why don't you watch the video, or give some feedback to encourage me to write more?
see you soon.

9 年Hi Yossi, I just watched your talk and I found it very interesting how you drive traffic and engagement using different avenues like making the customer think what's in the picture etc! The cricket team was really cool! :) Do viral campaigns correlate with branded search traffic intent? It may be difficult to see using Google analytics as it shows not provided on search traffic. Probs will be best pulling the data from PPC on the brand name and see if number of impressions increase. This will give you a good indication of search intent! Also 1.7 million fans on FB is huge... Do you do anything with that data internally? What i think may work well as you have such a large user base is asking them to login with FB while purchasing or using an "app" built with inside FB. The beauty of this is you can pull FB user data down... So you can see who likes a certain brand / football team etc etc. The beauty of this is that you can now use that data for an advert what is tailored to that demographic... This should have a far higher engagement rate / share count compared to normal advertisement online as it ticks more boxes & is more appealing to them. You could also do suttle remarketing with the email address from data collected on other social platforms what in turn would drive more traffic!!! In guessing you probs do this currently but incase not I thought it would be good to mention! I'm rambling on to much here got to excited! Anyways really good talk mate!! :) Cheers Danny
