Looking up into the floor frame you'll notice the new white /PVC tubelike device. Yes - it is a Wastewater Heat Recovery system being installed in a new zero energy home. Just think about that nice hot shower that blasts liquid comfort all over you each morning......well what happens two seconds later to that paid for heated hot water?? Yup, literally down the drain. NOT HERE!! Here we use that draining water to echange heat to the incoming water service and keep some of those energy $$ in the house.........not down the drain....
