The Best Wild Card game of the weekend belongs to the Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was very competitive and entertaining. A game-winning field goal with no seconds left sends Washington to the next round with a 23-20 victory.
Jayden Daniels made his postseason debut in his first season in the NFL. No moment was too big for him/ Daniels to lead Washington to their first playoff win since 2006. He's the first rookie quarterback since Mark Sanchez in 2009 to win his first playoff game as a rookie on the road.
Daniels completed 24 of his 35 passes, two touchdowns, a game-winning drive, and finished with a total of 304 yards—sensational performance by Daniels.
Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield is a fearless competitor. He's a phenomenal quarterback for this team. You can't help but feel bad for him this morning after knowing that a costly fumble changed the game's outcome.
Mayfield finished with 15 of 18 completions with 185 yards and two touchdowns.
Mike Evans had a solid game. It wasn't his best, but he did score a touchdown and had 92 yards on seven carries. He did give Marshon Lattimore a lot of trouble.
Washington will play the Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round.
