Washington State Ferries is currently seeking a Relief Dispatcher in Seattle!
The Washington State Ferry (WSF) a Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Relief Dispatcher. This position provides scheduled and unscheduled relief for peer Dispatchers and Dispatch Coordinators to ensure dispatching duties are fulfilled in their absence. This position performs all duties of the Dispatcher and may perform higher level duties of a Dispatch Coordinator. Under general direction, this position is responsible for receiving employee requests for work relief, performing daily dispatching, long-term scheduling, and assignment of WSFs personnel to vessels to ensure minimum crewing requirements are met so that daily ferry service continues without interruption or service delay. This position also performs fleet support tasks such as maintaining employee documentation and coordinating fuel, lube oil, bilge pump and other deliveries to vessels.
