Washington State Ferries' Bright Future with New Cal Maritime Talent!

Elizabeth Kosa, Chief of Staff, and Amy Scarton, Assistant Secretary of Transportation Ferries Division, welcomed 2018 CSU Maritime Academy standout, Sarah Mena yesterday, further strengthening the partnership with the schools' outstanding program. We brought on board 12 new deckhands who were graduates of the institution including Sarah, Noah Luff, and John Halstead who were all members of the outstanding class of 2018.

Coupled with our desire to reinforce the future strength within our proud fleet, the acquisition of the skilled talent from Cal Maritime is key. Whether veteran deckhands of former classes or the newly minted members of the class of 2018 we are certainly lucky to have such ties and look forward to a continued fruitful partnership.
