Washing Machine
Hello from Bratislava, Slovakia beautiful friends.
I hope your week was good and now ready for the weekend.
I am in the middle of my holidays back home in #Slovakia – connecting with you from my hotel room (the pic is the view I have as I am writing this blog) before I drive back to my parents’ place which is about an hour and half from here.
We have a reunion from the high school tonight. Reunion after 30 years! ?? A big night ahead of us and I am so very excited to see everyone. Will feel probably a little fragile tomorrow…
Today I want to talk to those of you who might be in some kind of emotional turmoil in your lives. In some kind of transition or #transformation.
Maybe there are new things happening in your life. Maybe you have decisions to make and you’re not quite sure which way to turn.
Maybe you want to make a change in your life but it feels too big and scary and so you’re consciously avoiding making that decision.
Maybe you’re just so busy that it seems like you have no opportunity to stop and reflect on what it is that you actually really want.
I call these periods of life a washing machine.
Many people call it a roller coaster.
But I see it more as a washing machine because it feels like all the possible #emotions, thoughts, ideas and feelings are mixed together and they seem to just go round and round. Sometimes for days, sometimes for weeks or months. Even years.
If this is you at the moment I want to invite you to stop trying to control the washing machine.
Because that’s what we normally do.
We want to have things under control. We like to be “on top” of things. We don’t like being in the washing machine.
But more we try to control stuff more confused we often get. And it’s exhausting.
I invite you to let the washing machine do what it needs to do.
It is on a certain program and that program needs to run until the cycle ends.
If you force to stop it in the middle of the cycle while the washing machine is still full of water – it will create a mess.
It needs to finish when it needs to finish.
Not when you think it needs to finish.
So let your emotions do what they need to do. And actually FEEL them.
Revolutionary idea – I know….
I am not talking about indulging in the state of victimhood of what is happening to you.
I am talking about getting out of your own way and becoming an observer of your emotions. Let them do what they need to do as I said.
Let the life flow.

It will calm down when the program is finished. But our internal world needs to be cleaned up on regular basis. So don’t get involved – because you’re not needed there.
If you simply observe – when it’s time – you will understand what the right step for you to take is.
What the right decision is.
It will come to you.
So let it.
Life is not about controlling.
Life is about experiencing.
The good. The bad and sometimes the ugly.
I am currently in the washing machine.
Again. ??
It comes on regular basis.
So join me in getting out of our own way.
Let the washing machine called life do its thing.
And let’s trust that the program it is on knows exactly when to stop.
Life is about trust. Not control. (easier said than done, I know)
