Washers (Brief Introduction)

Washers

Used in conjunction with the other fasteners.

It keeps the combination from loosening & distribute the load from the nut or bolt to a larger area.

To achieve this purpose, usually the shape is thin flat rings of soft steel.

Used as spacers as well.

To prevent fastener from going too deep, we will place washers through the threaded fastener to create padding.
