WASCZ｜Sports Exchange VS Wellington Hangzhou

On the 11th of March, WASCZ had a sports exchange with Wellington College Hangzhou. More than 60 of our students participated in various team competitions such as Football, Netball, Swimming, Basketball, and Touch Rugby on a beautiful Saturday morning.

The event kicked off with the U15 Boys Basketball and U12 Girls Football games, which showcased the students' exceptional sportsmanship and sharp attacking skills. Our students showed great strength in protecting the ball and keeping possession, with impressive dribbling and handling skills. Although it was tough competition, our students learned a lot from the experience.

Swimming Competition

The swim competition began alongside Basketball and Football and continued throughout the day. This was our swimmers' first opportunity to compete in the WASCZ Swim Competition, and it was a memorable occasion for both our students and coaches. The competition provided a great learning experience for our swimmers to understand the swimming competition environment. Our swimmers demonstrated excellent technique, consistency in their strokes, speed, and control.

U15 Girls Netball Competition

The U15 Girls Netball and U12 Boys Football games followed, with both teams displaying great talent in both attack and defense. Our teams made it incredibly difficult for Wellington to gain control of the ball, and teamwork played a vital role in ensuring our teams' success. The game was filled with energy and loud cheers from both teams' supporters.

U12 Boys Football Competition

The day ended with a final match in Mixed Touch Rugby, the first external mixed competition held at WASCZ. Our girls and boys demonstrated excellent resilience and determination, with passing accuracy and defense being crucial for our players in making it difficult for our opponents.

Overall, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all. We want to express our appreciation to Wellington College Hangzhou for traveling to Changzhou to take part in the first of many sports exchanges. We hope to continue hosting more sports events and encourage our students to participate in mixed competitions.
