With a Warrior’s Heart
Love for Lily
Empower. Support. Connect. Supporting families in the Neonatal ICU to thrive in-unit & at home
A letter from the Love for Lily Executive Director, Sahra Cahoon
It takes determination and a warrior’s heart to make your way through the Neonatal ICU as a parent. It takes commitment and a deep belief in the work to show up and care for the tiniest patients helping them to thrive inside the NICU and at home.
We are humbled to serve and bring courage and kindness to our work, offering a hand up through our multifaceted programming. Our team has sat with mamas and daddies in the best moments of celebration and the hardest moments of grief.
2023 was a big year at Love for Lily
We launched a Dad’s support group in conjunction with Caring for You and Baby (CUB) clinic at the University of Denver. We also launched the Love for Lily Center for Coaching & Education providing courses to support medical teams. This will also be the launching place for the coach training program.
This year kicked off with an exciting start. In February, we launched in-unit NICU Love services at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins. All of this and more is possible because of YOU.
We see the Warrior’s heart in even the tiniest among us and, as an organization, we take lessons from their determination and resilience and it inspires us to do more. And more is unfolding in BIG ways!
Thank you for your unwavering support. Looking back over the last 12 years, my heart skips a beat. We cannot wait to walk with you through the next 12. Together we are easing the isolation and fear that shrouds the NICU journey. Thank you for believing in this work that we do. Thank you for choosing hope. I am forever grateful.
