1.     Conversation between Ah Toy & Ah Sam {ep 9}

[Ah Toy] “We need to fight back.” [Ah Sam] “It’s a fight we can’t win. We don’t even belong here.” [Ah Toy] “No one belongs here. It’s a country of foreigners. Why should we be any different?”

2.     Conversation between Penny Blake & Ah Sam {ep 6}

[Ah Sam] “She gave up her life and married the old man to save me. I guess it never occurred to me that she was the one who needed to be saved.” [Penny Blake] “Well that sounds like, in the end, she was perfectly capable of saving herself. We can do that you know, women, save ourselves.”

3.     Conversation between Mai Ling, Li Yong, & Pai {ep 4}

[Pai] “I don’t like when these bitches talk too much.” [Li Yong] “Perhaps you should listen.” [Pai] “The Fung Hai doesn’t need help from anyone, especially not some tong that lets the pussy do the talking.” [Mai Ling to Pai] “You know, I had a feeling that you might feel this way. Which is why I have already killed you.”

4.     Conversation between Bill’s wife & Officer Lee {ep 6}

[Bill’s wife] “This is the part where you tell me what you’re doing on my porch, with a shotgun.” [Officer Lee] “Oh, just precaution.” [Bill’s wife] “I like you Lee; you’re sweet, got good manners. But, you’re going to have to work on your lying. (Lee chuckles softly) Stick with Bill; I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it.” [Officer Lee] “Thank you, for the sandwich. It’s delicious.” [Bill’s wife] “See, you’re getting better already.”

5. Conversation between Ah Toy & Ah Sam {ep 1}

[Ah Toy] “Who’s she to you?” [Ah Sam] “I would tell you, but someone once advised me not to speak my business with whores.” [Ah Toy] “Ah Sam, Confucius said, a man in a brothel is nobody’s judge.” [Ah Sam] “Confucius never said that.” [Ah Toy] “No, he didn’t.”

[Mr. Buckley to Mai Ling] “I suppose congratulations are in order. The King is dead. Long live the Queen!”
