WARNINGs and DISCLAIMERs

Seeking the collective wisdom of contributors to this. I am not a legally trained Mind and hence seek your invaluable inputs. For sometime now the DISCLAIMER clause, (its use, misuse and abuse) has been in my mind. Like a small print 'Smoking is Injurious to Health" permits its free sale without any guilt and/or smoking, For both smoking and drinking in the Big & Small Screens, Many TV Channels for their Sponsored Programmes, No harm to animals during shooting of movies, Professionals like Doctors before performing duties that they alone are licensed to perform, including emails from individuals using the company domain etc. These WARNINGS or  DISCLAIMERs,  which are usually either not readable due to the font size or duration of display, if accidentally read and comprehended seem to me many a times as dubiously worded. Can someone please spare some time to throw some light on the any other areas among the several types of atrocities that these WARNINGS or DISCLAIMERs permit us to perform unabated without any guilt or fear. Do these reduce the time, money & energy in litigations or does it proliferate the number of disputes.  On hind sight could these have been used effectively by individuals who were bursting crackers during the erstwhile Deepavali that they had no intentions whatsoever to affect the pollution levels anywhere in the country or abroad let alone cause any harm to the health of the people around including the foetuses  in their mothers womb and hence any drop in the quality of air or any adverse effects on the pollution or individual health of any living person is purely a matter of extreme coincidence not anywhere remotely incidental or connected to the person bursting the crackers or can be attributed to the person or persons who sold or manufactured the crackers so being burst........................blah blah blah.
