Yup! To maximize work performance, efficiency and product quality, you’ll need both - AI and human skill. Not just that!
Did you know we’re having groundbreaking discoveries and development in artificial intelligence almost every single day? You’ll have to actively restructure your business operations to make the most of it.
Don’t worry though. This article will show how you can plan ahead of time and use AI to gain an unfair edge over your competitors!
…And no, we’re not talking about those fad article writing bots everyone uses to produce the same content everywhere on the web! Things are starting to change! Keep reading to learn more.
Why Would I Risk Implementing AI Into My Business?
It’s because AI is faster, cheaper, reliable and accessible. While there are a few set of expenses/disadvantages that this might bring up (which I’ll cover subsequently), there are ways to steer away from those disadvantages and use AI to make your products or service 5 times better!
AI can provide analytics and business intelligence insights, make customer support lightening fast and create an efficient co-working ecosystem for both the employees and AI. There’s so much it can do that can’t be covered in this article.
Talking about AI might take this conversion on a hundred tangents. So, let’s just stick to ChatGPT alone and how any online business can benefit from it.
What is?ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a chatbot just like Replika - which was featured in one of my older blog posts, - but this one’s not ordinary. The AI is, more or less, like a professional assistant. It can aid professionals by hastening their research process, help with onboarding clients, interns and employees, and also help students shorten their learning curve.
The technology used in ChatGPT is partly new, and it’s transforming how businesses operate. So, whether you’re a retailer, programmer, engineer, (especially) businessmen or a graphic designer, you’ll need to adapt to the changes if you want to gain an unfair advantage in your industry.
What Can ChatGPT?Do?
While ChatGPT cannot replace humans completely, under supervision, it can definitely be helpful for:
This list has been suggested by ChatGPT itself and is inexhaustive. OpenAI’s GPT-3 technology can be used in other areas as well.
The Impact ChatGPT Has?Created
It sure has changed how professionals work across different industries. That’s the thing about OpenAI, every technology they release is transforming workspaces.
Quantifying the AI’s intelligence could be very subjective, so I decided to let ChatGPT have a word:
Prompt: Shouldn’t you be more intelligent than a human being?
That’s a lot of fluff! No matter what questions you ask, you’ll get a huge response like this, which may sometimes be uncalled for. Technology can’t be a couch potato. So, you have to be super-specific when framing your prompts. The more specific you are, the more specific answers you get!
Finding Business Operations Where GPT-3 Can Be Implemented
The GPT-3 technology can perform low-level operations where instructions are extremely clear-cut and actionable. So, think of jobs where you or your client clearly know what they want (Of course, this would only work for text, language and image-based final products).
Yes! It can be used in other areas as well, but you’ll still need a professional’s help. For example, programmers, writers and graphic designers can use GPT-3 to output faster.
In contrast, if an amateur performs the job, the result produced may be low quality, generic, shallow and faulty. Any task/operation where the final product heavily relies on several unknown-variables, that are only known to a professional, will need a professional’s support.
If those variable stay undefined, GPT-3 will take arbitrary values and produce an extremely unrefined and generic final product. We don’t want that!
If you’re run a basic website that sells staple goods, then you don’t need a copywriter or a content marketer. Such goods don’t require much selling as they are basic necessities! For such websites, AI content would be ideal. And by using it, a single writer would be able to product 20–30 articles per day!

However, if you’re adidas or a SaaS business, then AI-generated content would not cut it. And you would anyway need a content marketer to build a content marketing strategy.?
Selling products to a niche audience needs a deep understanding of customer pain points. In this case, customer pain points, your brand voice and content marketing strategy are the unknown variables. With fierce competition, AI would only throw brands into a common stereotype.
Foreseeable Ramifications of GPT-3 Technology
#1. It can cause market saturation
Saturation caused by exploitative use of the technology where people just disregard it because its simple and generic. With increasing offers and no demand, the value of offered services would drop.
The technology poses a threat of plagiarism and disingenuity in schools, businesses and work life. For instance, imagine receiving AI generated CVs, essays, speeches, programs, thesis, reports, etc. It can definitely make the current education and employment system ineffective.
#2. Professional roles would become?fickle
With artificial intelligence replacing humans, many of the job roles will demand different or extra skillsets and core competencies — as it will allow efficient use of this technology.
#3. Erratic demand for human brain?power
The need for human brain power itself would drop. It might sound like I’m talking about a farfetched or distant future. It is not so! At this point, we’re having groundbreaking development in AI almost every day!
The technology developed by OpenAI will definitely be used by other industries. From a macro-perspective, GPT-3 would do more good to the world than take jobs and leave us with nothing, as long as it’s used responsibly and constructively (like any other piece of technology).
What’s The Right Approach For Business?Owners?
Don’t fire employees off or take massive risks with AI! Also, don’t just sit around and let your competitors gain an edge over you. If every business tend to AI and do the same things, every service and product would turn into a staple item. Also, it’d become harder and harder to find new markets.
Here’s what you can do!
The Stack Overflow?Drama
Stack Overflow has put a temporary ban on posting ChatGPT-generated answers. According to them, the software gives inaccurate answers most of the times. In addition, this is to prevent users from spamming AI answers for reputation points. As a result, it may reduce the authoritativeness of the platform.
While Stack Overflow may not agree, many programmers have started using ChatGPT more frequently because it offers custom codes and solves problems for them without having to wait and sift through multiple answers.
The only catch is, you have to know how to get ChatGPT to generate the right answers (A.K.A giving it highly specific and right prompts). This does, in fact, require a field expert, which is a good thing.
Does ChatGPT Pose a Threat to?Google?
No! ChatGPT is to Google as a dog is to a horse. Just like a trained, obedient and loyal dog, ChatGPT is a skilled, responsive and knowledgeable AI model that’s always there to answer your questions and provide you with helpful information.
Google, on the other hand, is like a wild and majestic horse, galloping across the internet and taking you through vast territories of information. Both are amazing in their own way, but if you need a more specific and personal experience, ChatGPT is the way to go.
Conclusion
Businesses are tending to GPT-3 because it’s fast, cheap, reliable and accessible. However, the technology is still not adept enough to work completely unsupervised.
For business owners: incorporating AI into business workflow must happen slowly and the performance must be measured before doubling down. With a well-established and unique execution process, the AI can definitely make jobs easier — But it also brings a chance of seeing your duplicates in the market.
Professionals need to learn to improve their efficiency and service/product quality with the help of AI. There’s no need to fear technology that’s meant to make their job easier.
While some simple jobs (where people clearly know what they want) may be replaced by artificial intelligence, if professionals learn to incorporate AI as a tool, they’re good.
