Just a quick note to everyone, I recently received what looked like a legimate email from LinkedIn requesting that I change my password. It looked very authentic, however something didn't ring true.

I had it checked out by our Council IT Department and was advised that it is fake and to delete it. Hope none of you have been caught out.

this was actually just reported on the news as being true and that you do need to change passwords, Linkedin has confirmed over 100 million emails and passwords have been stolen.
